Why Your Body Is Not a Prison

The Full World expands the journey of presence beyond the inner life and into the world. The author argues that God is not found by escaping reality, but by fully engaging with it. Because God became flesh, the body, the senses, nature, beauty, community, and everyday life are all places where His Presence can be encountered.
The book teaches that the world is “full” of God, and that beauty, creation, and human relationships can reveal the divine when approached with attention and gratitude. True spirituality is not solitary; God is found in community, around the shared table, in celebration, rest, and especially in caring for those who suffer.
The author emphasizes that authentic faith naturally leads to service, justice, and mission. Rather than imposing beliefs, Christians are called to embody God’s Presence through attentive love, compassion, and solidarity with the poor and excluded. Ultimately, the book presents a hopeful vision in which all creation is moving toward its final destiny: a world completely filled with God’s Presence, where “God will be all in all.”
Core message: Learn to be fully present—to your body, to others, to beauty, to the poor, and to the world itself—and you will discover that God has been present there all along.
